ChargeFinder.uk is run by ND Media Ltd. This page covers complaints about driver reports: the charger status, price, speed and tips that drivers post about motorway service stations. For what is allowed in a report, see the community rules.
Who can complain
Anyone. You do not need an account. You do not need to have posted anything. Typical complainants are:
- The operator of a charger or a charging network named in a report.
- A person a report is about, or whose personal details appear in one.
- A driver whose own report was removed.
- Anyone who thinks a report is unlawful.
What to send
- The address of the page the report is on, and the station name.
- When the report was posted, if you can see it.
- The exact words you are complaining about.
- Why they are wrong or unlawful. For a false statement, say what is true and how we can check it.
- Whether you are the operator, the person affected or someone else.
- An email address to reply to.
Do not send personal details we do not need. Do not send a copy of the report with extra detail added.
Where to send it
Email [email protected]. There is no complaints form. We do not take complaints through the report buttons.
What happens next
- Within 48 hours: we reply to confirm we have it and keep a record of the complaint.
- We read the report. Driver reports are anonymous. We hold no contact details for the poster, so we cannot pass your complaint on to them. We decide from what you send and from the report itself.
- We remove a report that breaks the rules or is unlawful. Removal deletes the text and details. It does not just hide them. We keep only a note of the station, the time and the reason.
- A report that is honest opinion or a true account of a visit stays. That holds even when it is negative. We tell you why.
- We email you the outcome within 14 days of your complaint.
If a report of yours was removed
You can ask us to look at the removal again. Email the same address with the station, the rough time you posted and what the report said. The text is deleted on removal. We cannot look a report up by its words. The station and time are how we find the record. We look again from scratch and reply within 14 days.
Privacy and copyright
Tell us the page address and which details appear in a report. We remove them. Driver reports are text only. They carry no photos. For data requests, see the privacy policy.
What this page cannot do
It does not replace legal advice. Sending a complaint does not stop you using any other route open to you.
